What Would Audrey Hepburn Do?

There is a serious scarcity of ladies with class in these modern days, or ladies at all even. In the fast pace and stresses of life, we have forgotten what it means to be a lady. I find myself quite perturbed at this.

We need more Audrey Hepburns in these times. Not only was she beautiful, but graceful, meek, and elegant. She was downright queenly. Why is it more women don't strive to be ladies like her?

I want to be classy, like Audrey. I want people to remember me as not just a woman, but a lady. Her kind of class isn't about how much money you have, or how popular you are. It's about poise and how you carry yourself, having your own sense of quiet confidence, and courtesy.  I'm convinced that if we were more like Audrey, we could conquer the world.

This is the link to a book I found when browsing the internet with a friend. I find it fascinating.

What Would Audrey Do?: Timeless Lessons for Living with Grace and Style

I plan to add this to my collection. I not only what to be an Audrey Hepburn, I want to raise my daughters to be someday too.

Quote For The Day

Chocolate Covered Cherries (my suggestion for the day)

Today is the day for simple sophistication
I gaze outside at  the overcast sky, weather meant only for leisure, and I can't help but think how good a relaxing day feels, complete with creamy, melt in your mouth chocolate and it's sweet scarlet center.  Mmmm.....

Today I would recommend you kick back and relax with rich chocolate covered cherries from Ghirardelli, and a glass of dark red wine to complement it, lounge in your comfiest chair, and read your favorite novel. Have some time to yourself on this day that would otherwise be dreary and enjoy the simple things in life.
